Goddamn, this comic made me laugh out loud. Skullmaster Sam is always a welcome presence, even when she's breaking and entering. (Or Marten, Claire, or Pintsize just let her in.)

Like many others, I can't help but wonder how Sam got into Faye's bedroom. I'm guessing that Faye slept in for whatever reason; maybe it's Sunday morning? Marten (I'm pretty sure it would have to be him; I can't see Sam accepting anyone else's authority on it being 'okay') decided to let Sam 'surprise' Faye with a 'nice' visit. Bubbles was okay with the prank right up until the point when Sam went into Skullmaster mode and started shouting.
I'm guessing that Sam's on the way to her sword-fighting practice, given that she's got her skull-pattered fencing face-guard. If so, then I'm hoping that Bubbles agrees to accompany her. For a while, I've hoped for Bubbles to be Sam's "Sensei-Sama" in the Way of the Warrior - To teach her responsibility as well as skill.

More solid prediction for next week:
Sam has 'dropped in' to see Marten and Faye (I'm not sure if Jim and Veronica will be there too; Sam seems fairly independent, all told). Sam, being Sam and being both intelligent and absolutely without any real understanding of personal boundaries (a typical teenager, in other words), loudly asks Faye if Bubbles 'is your girlfriend'. Cue much Faybles blushing and stammering, overlapping words to the effect of 'no, we're just best friends', followed by Faye asking Sam not to spread rumours.
Sam's response will be: "Okay! Okay! Geez! Adults are weird!"
Faye and Marten will volunteer to take Sam to her destination (probably the sword-fighting club). Before she goes into the building, Sam tells Faye that she and Bubbles would be 'cool together' because, y'know, giant robot girlfriend! How could that not be cool?
That leads into the week afterwards, which I think will be Faye and Marten talking about Faye's own feelings and Faye asking for advice on how to proceed (on the grounds that Marten has a stable relationship and thus, in Faye's mind, must know all the answers). I predict that Marten will be somewhat surprised that Faye and Bubbles aren't already in an intimate relationship but had been too polite to say so aloud beforehand because neither of them had raised the issue in front of him yet.
