Not underestimating. Just saying that if Sam sneaked into a room being shared by a veteran with PTSD, jumped on the bed and started yelling without them being aware of their presence, calmly picking her up and telling her to use her inside voice is almost certainly not going to be Bubble's reaction.

I don't think what Bubbles has fits PTSD.
Her reactions as shown so far don't really fit it unless there are even more divergences between human and AI psychology.
I'm suspecting that her issue is more akin to Faye's with a form of survivors guilt combined with other things including the mental voids caused by the entire memory thing, but she's not displayed the stress reactions as of yet that are normal for human and animal forms of PTSD.

Agreed. And I think Bubbles senses are similar to a Terminator in that she can instantly assess a threat and react. Skull Master or not Bubbles detects a loud teenage girl an reacts accordingly.

Again, I'm pretty sure she was white for some reason when the strip was first uploaded. I remember thinking, "this seems like Sam, but those hands..."
TinPenguin:
The real question is whether Faye was woken up by the shouting or the smell.

She is, as far as we know. I don't think her mother's ever been shown. She has always always had that skin tone. Not every white person has pale skin, some of them are naturally darker. And they tend to tan as well, especially ones who spend a lot of time outside catching frogs and snakes.

Why not both?
