The latest from his cousin is that he will not be able to get back online. I have messaged her via Facebook to let her know that we're thinking of him.

I think it's fair to say that unless he has help, he won't be returning.  :cry: I don't know what it all entails in Kiwiland, but he has been declared legally blind.

I hope he's okay and I wish that he can get that help. The melted lugwrenchs were a bonus, but the real joy was the weird sense of wisdom mixed with humour. I miss that.

There *are* ways for people who are blind to be able to interact online, but I couldn't imagine they would be an easy thing to get to grips with.
