--- Quote from: Zebediah on 09 Mar 2018, 03:31 ---Roko’s origins may very well be in the Boston area, given the existence of the MIT Robotics Lab and Boston Dynamics (which itself has its origins in the MIT Robotics Lab.) And like so many professionals with strong regional accents, she trained herself out of her native accent and into something more neutral.
So now I’m hearing her with Eliza Dushku’s voice.
--- End quote ---
Thank you for choosing her instead of one of the Wahlbergs! Way too many people think of their phony accents when they think of Boston accents.
Fittingly with your comment: Eliza is from Watertown...which just happens to be between Cambridge(MIT) and Waltham(Boston Dynamics).
Morituri:
I'm hearing Scribble-stache O'Malley in the voice of Yogi Bear.
Which actually took me several days to identify. I mean, I had a very specific voice in mind that I imagined him speaking with, in its weird cadence and kind of pre-uptalk syllabic mis-emphases... and it was days later that I realized it was this character from an old Hannah Barbarian cartoon.
And, for whatever it's worth, I hope that it turns out to be in-universe truth that his moustache is really just a sharpie scribble. It would give him a certain "style", I think.
Storel:
I'm trying, I really am, but I simply can't imagine Yogi Bear's voice saying "oiled-up little fuck-weirdo"... :psyduck:
St.Clair:
It helps a lot to have watched Harvey Birdman.
Morituri:
If you can't imagine Yogi saying that, who exactly did you think Booboo was?
