My google-fu is weak today. Everything I can find involves the axial poles rotated, not the magnetic pole. What happens if the magnetic poles are rotated?

Roko/May for the robo-yuri shipping....

;)

I like Faye's reaction. Ha.

* The area immediately below the poles would be rendered uninhabitable by the high-energy particles being funnelled down the geomagnetic field towards the planet's core;
* The magnetosphere would now be rotating at a significant angle to the solar magnetic field. This would create a dynamo effect, charging the atmosphere, creating global and unceasing thunderstorms (greatly increasing surface temperatures far beyond the tolerance of most macroscopic life);

* The charging of the ionosphere would make radio communication impossible and possibly fry any spacecraft in orbit almost as far out as the Moon.Basically, it would turn Earth into a near-duplicate of Venus

Cornelius:
Well, I think that kind of reinforces the point I was trying to make, then.

Is it cold in here?:

She never told me she was a cop!

Isn't occupation one of the first things people exchange information about on dates? What does it say that she didn't? She had time to mention knitting after all.
