I don't know, but that would be a terrific future storyline. I don't think we've yet seen a human and companion AI introduction in the comic.

Unless you count the flashback to Marten visiting the agency and getting Pintsize, everyone with a companion already had one when introduced to us.
The early stages of a companionship contract could really be interesting.

Wasn't really the same thing, since it was understood to be just a temporary trial, not a potentially permanent one like Marten-Pintsive or Marigold-Momo. And they weren't exactly "matched."
