Speaking of soda bread, I love the recipe that was given on Australian MasterChef: 1 pack of melted vanilla ice cream. Self raising flour. Mix. Bake.

Interesting idea, because commercial ice cream contains a bunch of additives designed to help give it a nice light texture.

There's also lemonade scones. They've been around awhile.

As someone who has soda bread on a regular basis, its definitely one of those breads that needs a bit of butter. Its dry, needs that moisture from the butter.

But its a tasty bread. Its just carelessness on Elliot's behalf and not having a glass of water on hand, at the very least.
