The first thing that jumped into my head when I read panel 1 was that Momo is pretty tired of people saying that her hairstyle is 'pretty punk'. In her mind, that's not a positive and she really wishes that people would stop saying it to her!
Now, onto the point of this comic: I think that Faye needs to sit down and have some serious self-reflection. When one gets so good at burns and making sarcastic comments sound serious that people out of your immediate circle can't automatically tell when you're kidding, maybe one has to wonder if you've got a bit too good or have developed a bit too much of a nasty reputation!
That aside, someone give Faye a hand with that box before she drops it!

I may not have thought this idea through enough. I've suddenly had a horrible flash of Faye trying to imitate the Claireface every time she is kidding. That way madness lies! :claireface:

Momo is a bit too innocent for Faye. Sometimes borderline gullible. She may have caught Faye's joke, but she too upset to realise when she's joking, and she has no idea how much stuff costs. Material costs probably aren't that bad, it probably just takes a while for the polymers to form properly.

It can’t be that expensive if Bubbles does it. She’s careful about spending money.
