Just to clarify as well. The space station is itself a think tank for inventors, researchers and scientists. Anyone on there who isn't a member of security is probably working on a significant project. And I think Hanners' father specialises in AI research, so you would have to wonder about the overlap between his work and Emily's.

Nah, they'd meet, nothing overly weird would happen, and then after she left Raven/Emily would say to Dora "Is it just me, or is that girl really strange?"

Not quite. In the third panel, Dale looks to be holding the pants up, and the sleeves on the hoodie look to come up short on him. In fact, Marigold's clothes look loose on Dale. I wouldn't be surprised if we pulled out and saw her pants barely came up to his knee.
