What is the point of this argument, exactly? I’m not bothered by the spoiler tag, and I can’t imagine why anyone else would be.

I think the point is there are things that are safe without a spoiler tag. especially for things that happened more than a decade ago.

True on both counts. I wasn't trying to be snarky; just pointing out that The Talk was essentially the turning point of the comic.
The three main turning points of the comic would have to be, in order: The Talk, The Breakup (Marten and Dora), and Coming Out (Claire).

Maybe throw in Bubs-cpetion somewhere. One of the following three events may apply here: Introduction of Bubbles (as it is when Faye got a grip), Spookybot incident (breaking free from Corpse Witch), or them two actually getting together.
Although it doesn't concern Marten directly, it's one of the important arcs in my mind.
