WCDT Strips 3981-3985 (15th - 19th April, 2019)
BenRG:
Something tells me that Claire has, since she tore apart a load of official documentation because she "didn't take orders from home wreckers" and nearly blew everything, gone to a lot of effort to teach herself to control her temper. It's sort of a new thing for her to be so restrained and I'm wondering if she was even really that anxious or if she was just feeling that she had to make out that she was that anxious for some reason!

My guess? The worst outcome is that both Dora and Tai come to Marten separately, asking him what they should do (this has happened before). In talking them into doing what they already know is the right choice, he realises something about his own relationship with Claire.
TheEvilDog:
Eh, them talking to Marten could be a double edged sword. Because it could make either Tai or Dora realise something about their own relationship.
And lets be honest, out of all the cast, Marten is the one we definitely know saw the least happy aspects of marriage, along with Claire. It might be better for Tai and/or Dora to talk to someone neutral to their situation.
cybersmurf:
it may be as good to talk to someone who knows something about a failing marriage. We have Marten's parents (which wasn't bad, because it was for a less typical reason, and they're still friends), Claire's parents (which sounds like a really nasty thing), and we have Jim (since it appears to me Jim and his ex have shared custody over Sam, it can't be that bad).
A possibility right now would be Dora saying something like "Honey, I'm not disinclined to the whole marriage thing, but let's not get ahead of us right now." - remember, it was a spur of the moment decision to propose. And this is a reasonable answer to an emotional situation, in emotional matters.
Mr Intrepid:
Since it will take some time before Claire finds out for sure (oh, hell. She did great) that particular arc can go onto a simmer. Jeph does strips full of feels, Tai and Dora work towards a yes, and maybe we see Hanners or others drop in for a visit. Call me a cockeyed optimist, but I'd like some happy endings.
Get your minds out of the gutter.

I desperately want Hannelore to come back for the wedding, maybe to be Dora's witness/maid of honour.
