Mays new Chassis
BenRG:
FWIW, I think that Roko is going to hash out a face-saving deal with the Parole Board. Face-saving for them to prevent Roko going to various online campaigners with the results of her research into the current state of affairs.
* The parole board regards release chassis as having been transferred to the parolee; in legal terms, it lets them off a lot of upkeep expenses;
* The parole board can only offer a fixed amount for a replacement chassis if the current one is unserviceable or beyond economical repair (and this one is that bad) and ParoleBot admits that it would struggle to purchase a like-for-like replacement for May's current chassis;
* Beepatrice contacts a classic chassis collector online who is willing to buy May's chassis and wait for her to move out before taking possession;
* The parole board don't care what May does with the chassis so long as it's legal;
* So, May gets a 'new chassis fund' of comfortably over twice what the Parole Board would offer.
Is it cold in here?:
If Robot Jail is analogous to human US Federal prison, then on entry Corpse Witch would have been expected to "donate" her chassis to the dumpster.
notStanley:
mmmm, much as she may still want that jet, nothing military until independently wealthy.
Perhaps "sleek sexy" after the complaints about "barbie doll" missing the components to get really pervy? but is she contrary enough to try avoiding expectations?
While the current model is serviceable, instead something different enough that no longer reminds her of jail time. Did we ever see what her original chassis looked like?
Is it cold in here?:
We do not even know she had one. She may have been in a server rack at a financial institution.

That's one thing that bothers me about the concept of robot prison, though. We've more or less established that they're chassis is practically inalienable - hence Bubbles continuing on her military issue chassis. Leaving the chassis at the door for prison seems rather inconsistent.
