I think if the QC-verse did not have WWI it would have diverged too far from ours to be recognizable. ( WWI Armistice Day >> Veteran's Day )

There's something about Sam that I just don't like, she just grates on my nerves and I can't pinpoint exactly why.

Given the rate at which comic time progresses in the QCVerse (last time I checked, it seemed to run about 30 strips per day of in-universe time), I'm not sure Jeph even bothers to sync strips with the real world. Given that and the fact that the human characters in today's strip are dressed for warm-to-moderate weather, it's likely nowhere near Nov. 11 in QChampton.
