Does *any* other country have one in that form/date?

Small scale harvest festivals maybe.
Halloween has been bleeding through, although mostly for people dressing up spookily, and some minor trick or treating.

Oh, black Friday has become a thing. Lots of deals. "deals". But not "people are going to be trampled".

--- End quote ---

Hmmmmh - I had assumed Thanksgiving was a version our "Erntedankfest" ('Thanks for the harvest'. First Sunday in October), but it isn't. Good to know.

Like I said, some countries have similar holidays, but they're not the same thing.

Amateurs!

I built both my last two without any blood, and that included two Noctua air coolers with sharp (I opened a package with one because my knife was too far to reach) fins and a couple drive caddies with sharp edges on the insides...  But then, I wasn't in a hurry like I usually am either.

Well, you have to complete the ritual properly.

It's why I prefer to work on Windows PCs.  Apple, in its proprietary wisdom, requires the blood of an Apple Genius, which are in limited supply and usually guarded by local authorities, so you pretty much HAVE to bring it in to the store to be fixed.  Windows is more flexible and will usually accept any human, or even some animal blood!

Linux Users Groups have the right idea though, creating a group whose members can each provide a small amount of blood that, once combined, still satisfies the requirement.

Perfectly Reasonable:
What, Union Robotics doesn't have an Emergency Skirt?
(Or Emergency Pants?)
