Fun thing about being in the military is every two to five years, you move on to another place, and you're the "new guy" all over again...

So, I'm kinda used to it.

The username was a natural (8 character) adaptation of a nickname i was issued whilst in the military, yes. Something to do with surviving a series of accidents in a short period relatively unscathed.  The eight characters were a limitation of IRC back in the olden days of the early internet.  I have held the moniker ever since.
