I never saw this original, but yeah, Pintsize has known for a minute so the strip needed the revision.

In Boston, sure, but not in Northampton. Fun fact: people in western Massachusetts, aa a rule, do not talk like Bostonians. In particular, they keep their “r”s; the line of non-rhoticity is currently somewhere around Worcester and is retreating eastwards.

The line used to be 128 but over the decades it shifted to 495. Nothing exists west of 495 to Bostonians since we never have any reason to go out past there unless we are forced to by work or family...
