Roko is gonna have to start an "I'm Not The Boss" jar.

You know, it's really only a matter of time before Roko finds herself be made boss, kind of like the last scene of the TV drama The Guardian. I suspect that there is actually no-one with Roko's drive working there right now. I think that the advocacy group would be a lot more effective with her in charge rather than the current collection of people with good intentions but no real drive to rock the boat.

IMPORTANT VISITOR: "Who is in charge here?"

There is a long pause with all the team looking at each other. One by one, they all look at ROKO, with BEEPATRICE last with a big smile.

ROKO: "I guess that's me."

I wonder if Winslow is going to get a crash course in how the synthetics view Dr John. After all, to Winslow, he's simply his human's father, someone with whom he probably has regular interaction (either directly or electronically). To realise that he's a borderline-god to many of his peers will probably come as a shock!

If she takes some subtlety classes from Between Failure's Thomas Blackwell, that might help.

It won't, but for some reason the numbering on the last 3 WCDTs has been one # too low. 4200 is the last comic of this week though, so maybe it will be right next week.

That may or may not be my fault due to general aforementioned tiredness.

I don't think that she doesn't want to, just that she has the idea she shouldn't just walk in and take charge.
Despite the fact that it seems Beeps et al have, without really being aware of it, been waiting around for someone to do just that.
