Besides the animated series I'd be in for VR game in the likes "Fairy Tale in Northampton", randomly crossing paths with the characters. Maybe even Spooky Stories.

It could go either way. It'd make for an interesting background mystery to come across little things they've done here and there. But, it's been postulated that the Marvel version of Merlin is the player character in that multi-dimensional game with blue  Thanos [forget his actual name] as the BBEG. So the PC optiion works  too.

EDIT:  Lost my train of thought and forgot to add that last sentence.
