awkwardness:
She's not wrong, you know...smelling salts work on the same principle and smells are often a huge factor in triggering memories which helps to shock the brain into focusing on other things causing the episode to end.
Seriously, I still can't stand the smell of root beer after 32 years due to it being used to put me under for major surgery...same with bubblegum :(

May?
Manners?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA coughspluttercroak

I think she purposely deleted them alongside tact and self-control...

She didn't forget, she happily chose to not use them...plus she's about a gruff and mannerless as you'll ever see among characters so I doubt she cares about manners in the first place

Deleted? No. Never had them to begin with, or got overridden by her lack of impulse control.
Personally, I hope being embodied amd around other individuals - both fleshy and not - her edges will grind down to an acceptable level.

Though it's looks like Roko was already back in her body by panel 4 thanks to the mindfulness grounding exercise. So the dumpster goo probably wasn't necessary. That said, smelling salts were a strong unpleasant smell, right? Is this a modern equivalent?

Well, what did you expect? She works with friggin' nuclear reactors. Is she weird as hell outside of her function as AI therapist? Hell yeah!
BenRG:
So, we see the skill set that Lemon brings to her job and shows that, a Fruit Sister or not, she's a lot more mature than Melon and knows the differences between objective reality and whatever subjective world she may occasionally choose to occupy! It looks like it did a lot of good for Roko and, honestly, from what I understand of the human equivalent condition, having an effective coping strategy ready to go under all circumstances is probably the best outcome Roko can really hope to have except in the very longest terms.

I suspect that Lemon uses that stuff as a shock to bring her patient out of their centring/grounding trance. As you say, it's also a very good way of reminding their brains that they are definitely connected to their body.
So... Vial of stuff found in a dumpster! Why it's a tube of Kerbal Space Program Mystery GooTM! That stuff is an invaluable scientific environmental condition test material! I wonder who dumped that test-tube of the stuff and how much trouble they're going to get in for losing it?
Also... Beeps? No. That way madness and possibly addiction lie.
