Or be a plumber - the last 3 I've had to deal with had similar attitude problems. Of course, that may have been when they were being called to my house, not what they were called for. What they were called was, for them, routine, even if it was on a weekend.

Seriously, that and 'bounty hunter' seem to be two professions open without question to former felons. Both of them seem to fit in for a Synthetic with social integration problems!
