RIP Daft Punk.
Love the robot dancing pic...
BenRG:
Claire seems to be in that weird stage of human behaviour where they go somewhere online where they hate to be just to remind herself just how much she hates it. In the process, she's actually developed quite an understanding of the site's user community. Of course, she can't be as refined in her understanding of them or about the product on offer as Pintsize but I retain my personal hypothesis that he rents out processor space in his head to act as an auto-moderator for posts on sites like that.
That said, Claire raises a broader point about on-line artistic activity. Yes, you can get a huge boost from positive feedback. Then there is the negative feedback and I think that Claire is indicating that, with her self-esteem issues, that's not something that she wants or needs in her life, no matter how bad her financial situation.
So, anyone else think that this is the start of Jeph retelling the story of the birth of Questionable Content through Claire and her feet? It would be sad if he considers his work to be equivalent to low-effort fetish photography!
Gyrre:
Well, one more thing for the pile of stuff I'm content in not knowing the veracity of.

Let a seriously OCD guy loose in the stacks, where he proceeds to re-order all the books according to height and thickness...

In English, it’s more of the “y” sound in words like “your”.

Google translate has decent audio examples, as far as I can tell (I have the two sets of phonemes in my head, and ... they're not always on speaking terms, so I can sympathize)
