A Cathy reference! Been a longtime since I read a Cathy. I expect she has about the same things to say: the last 3 years our paper got Cathy, there wasn't much new.

He might have already thought of going there on his own. And considering that Ms. Augustus seems to have a great relationship with her kids, if everything went sideways and Elliot ran away screaming, at least he'd have someone right there to talk it out with.

"Meet the parents" is a standard milestone in a relationship. Possibly that's all there is to it.
