Bro-bot, Melon, Pintsize, and Winslow are arguments that AIs can be as complex, screwed up, and neurotic as humans. If Yay Newfriend were as representative as they're implying then why wouldn't more of they be better known? It's seems as if Yay Newfriend is largely an urban legend to the AIs.

Yay isn't well known because they don't want to be well known, and they have the means to thoroughly cover their tracks. It's like the saying that the most powerful people in the world are unknown - they operate in the shadows.
