It's the two characters from panel 1. From what little I can understand, they're the avatars of some Japanese streamers. Is Jeph a fan? I suppose the flower sketch is somehow considered an 'in-joke' amongst their followers but, as always, outside that group, there is no real meaning to anyone.

This seems less likely now that I've realised that a new comic appeared somewhere amongst that conversation.

On board I see Hanners' dad waiting for his latte, and Tilly trying to tell him how using this new FBS invention is much less efficient than just letting them go to the coffee shop for him.

I've never seen the film, but my literature teacher gave me the book to read in ~ middle school? I'm not sure what the US equivalent is, exactly.
