Because it’s rented accommodation in America. If you report it to the landlord the bill gets added to your rent. Every month. Forever. And if you fix it yourself the landlord kicks you out then sues you.

:-o

I guess that also explains why the elevator in The Big Bang Theory never got fixed.

For comic #4721...

1. I do hope that Clinton, Elliot, and Melon do get together to form a Play-group, this kind of scenario is one of the better ways how good Play-groups form.

2. While it is not strictly an "office workers RPG", there is something that is relevant for such a Campaign Setting...
 - a.) d20 Modern (2002-2008) - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/D20_Modern
 - b.) Short (Game) Summary - Published by the Wizards of the Coast (the current owners of the D&D franchise), d20 Modern is set within the modern "real" (note "quotations") world of Earth.  The d20 Modern Earth may incorporate fictional elements such as Fantasy, Paranormal, Sci-Fi, &/or Supernatural.  Core Classes are based upon the basic D&D stats (Strength Hero, Dexterity Hero, Intelligence Hero, Charisma Hero, etc.), with more thematic/specific Advanced Classes at higher levels.  Unless specifically built away from it, most Player Characters do work regular/mundane jobs for income.
 - c.) Game Technicals - d20 Modern's game-system is most accurately described as "3.25", published between D&D 3rd Edition and D&D 3.5 edition, with semi-evolved game-mechanics between the two D&D editions.

Poll: I had to say "someone else" but only because I really can't see May as Sherlock.

It's from an idea I can't quite get out of my head from when we saw May in that black sleeveless blouse and brown plaid skirt. The skirt's design was reminiscent of the plaid Holmes is often associated with.

EDIT: While Momo or Hanners (forgot to add her to the poll) would make an ideal Holmes stand-in in this case, I also raise you the pun of Momoarty.

Wait. Seriously?

Oof! Glad I rented in the Midwest mostly under fairly honest landlords. Though, that does explain some of the price hikes up in the KC area and some of the ones we had at the house with individually rented rooms and shared commons areas.
