How do you guys choose your starting word?  Do you have a fixed or favourite one? 

I use a different word every time, always with two vowels.

My starting word is a bit of a meme based on a joke I made to somebody else talking about the game before I started playing. It's far from "optimized", in particular it's on the extended list so I'll never get a "1", but it seems to work out, my average is right around 4.0
