Looking up images of it, I'm going to go with 'mecha'. Some of the anime genres overlap with eachother (especially mecha). Escaflowne is another mecha anime that fits into other genres (isekai, shoujo).
Is that the same artist as Mazinger Z?

Did a quick check to see which PJs Roko is wearing - she went for the pink version. The text is in mirror image on panel 3.
Is that a picture of Beeps with her creche mates in the background?

In all the panels where it's visible. I'm pretty sure this means Roko put it on inside out to try to cover up the message. [Edit: I actually just noticed that you can also see the tag sticking out the back in panel 2. So yes, she's wearing it inside out.]

Appears to be - it's titled Creche 2021472 <something> with "Hello!" written underneath. Probably a creche graduation picture.

Noooo. Have a look at the last panel of the previous comic. As noted above, she's wearing it inside out.
