Has the financials for Union Robotics improved, do we know?

Well, at least Faye is actually busy when Bubbles comes in...indicating a bit of an upturn in business, hopefully?

What is Melon's work anyway?! Yes, I remember the strip (https://www.questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=3643) where she heads off to work - where she ends up covered in bugs for some reason - but why? My head canon is that Melon is basically just being kept occupied so that she doesn't do anything irretrievably stupid that results in casualties or lawsuits...

Perfectly Reasonable:
Melon goes to 'work' by following an arrow labeled 'work' scrawled on the wall of the apartment. Which is decorated with further scrawls of 'art' and 'portrait'.  And furnished in the same manner. The label creates the 'reality'.

( anyone read harold and the purple crayon lately )

BenRG:
I'm very interested in what Melon actually works as. My feeling is that she's an 'actress', who plays some luckless soul being tortured to death in a tableau in a Chamber of Horrors-style tourist trap (an android being able to look more 'realistic' than a static waxwork or mannequin). It kind of fits that Melon would consider this a fun and fulfilling job.

It occurs to me that her employers may think that her fire damage makes her a more 'realistic' display and might be upset at her getting fixed at all. Call for Roko and Beeps!

traroth:
I remember a comic where she said she actually enjoyed her work.

While we haven't been told that it's improved there is the lack of information about fallout if the business had collapsed.  (ie Any comments about how Melon was their first customer for months.)  They seem to be doing better than when the business was starting.
