In a “real world” situation this would almost certainly end in disaster.  Claire is way too high strung and order driven to function well in an organization that is so fundamentally chaotic, it would be a bad fit for both sides.
But since Claire is Jeph’s favorite character and basically the main character at this point it’ll probably be more of a Claire imposing order on the chaos situation and saving Cubetown sort of narrative with hijinks along the way.

I have no idea how you draw the conclusion that Claire is like the main and/or favorite character now. Yes, this is an arc about her. Before this we had acs for various other characters, and nothing  really for Claire since maybe when she and Marten had dinner with her mom, which was about 200 comics ago. Before that I'm not even sure when she was last featured in any significant way, I think at least ack to comic 4300 or so. In the meantime we've had various arcs about clinton and elliott, vtubing, Emmett, Roko an Yay, and others.

I mean, I'd still turn Moray the hell down if I were in Claire's position, but this is so much better than people asking you "why do you want to work for us" like they expect some answer that affirms the superiority of their own corporate monolith.

I lost my job at the end of March, and accepted a new job offer last week, I start tomorrow.

Anyway, that "Why do you want to work for us?" question is really irritating.  "Because you have a job opening, I'm qualified to do it, and I need a job."

We are interviewing people now, and luckily I am doing a segment purely focused on skills, because I agree that that question is rater pointless. People prepare for it because they expect the question, and people fib anyway to get through the interview. As such, the only point of it is to see whether they bothered to put the effort in to come up with an answer, but the answer itself is meaningless.
Same for the question "where do you see yourself in 5 years" or similar. For one, people lie because they know what you want to hear, and regardless of what people say, plans change for most people anyway so even if they say they'd like to grow in your company they may still leave within a year. A pointless question.

hedgie:
As far as 5 year plans go, I’m with Hanners on that one.
