If the only outcome is that Elliot stops thinking that therapy is for "crazy" people or that they will just send you away with drugs, then this helped.

Yay is very clumsy about this but they have exposed that Elliot is in a serious anxiety loop about his whole mental health. He's aware that he has a problem but is afraid of seeking help because of anxiety about the outcome. If Yay and Renee can push him through that 'wall' to at least seek help then his situation can only improve.
