How do i get into web comicing?
Darron:
I've got a few strips already drawn and i was just wondering how i could start putting them on the net and getting to be like you have. did you start on a free comic host or did you go and buy questionablecontent.net straight away?
Thanks in advance.
Jiperly:
I dunno about finding a webhost, but before you debut your comic, you might want to look at this.....

blindsuperhero:
Jeph wrote a whole thing about "How to have a successful web-comic" or something, it was really good but I can't remember where it is. Maybe on his Livejournal or something
Gdog4evr:
I think a couple of essential things for having a successful webcomic (that I've always had trouble with) is the following rules:
1) Don't be a complete idiot
2) Make sure more than five people will understand the joke (IE, avoid inside gags)
and of course:
3) Ripping off gags/plot lines from other web comics will get you sent DIRECTLY to the lowest pit of hell and you'll ****ing deserve it.
Anything I'm forgetting?
Keith Decent:
if you want a web comic:
start drawing it regularly (which is where most of us fail)
put it online (via your own server or at like keenspace or something)
Start telling people about it (IE put it in your sig here)
Don't worry about what other people tell you when you're starting up about form and content. Develop that on your own. Otherwise you're only going to end up pandering to people and you're gonna have a rip-off strip on your hands no matter what. The world doesn't need another generic manga/gamer comic, those genres are pretty much locked up.
Basically, do it for you, and a bunch of people will catch on if it's good enough.
