Ozymandias:
I can't stand Morrowind. It's too big. It's too boring. There's not real interesting plot. If I have to suffer cutscenes for a game to be interesting, so be it.

I like a handful of Final Fantasys...FF6, FF7, FFX, pretty much. All for the story and characters. I also enjoy FF5 simply for the battle system.

See, that's why I like Morrowind, because of all of that.

Actually, I do like the fact that it's big. It's like the GTA of RPGs. I don't mind cutscenes either, but if they're going to take up 75% of the game, might as well have made a movie. :cough:Xenosaga:caugh:

Also, linear games. I don't hate them, but if the same game is going to be like the first, ie FF, then why not make 1 big giant game. I get bored if I have to do the same shit over and over and over. For example, I liked KOTOR, I bought KOTORII, played the beginning and haven't picked it up. What's the point? If all games are going to be linear, bring something new aspect to the table, don't regurgitate the same mechanics to push a new story, I call that half ass.

While the games in the Final Fantasy series are similar, they are not the same. The biggest difference is usually character development. Like materia in VII, junction in VIII, item-skills in IX, sphere grid in X, and dresspheres in X-2. I saw somthing on the series , and they say that they make 8 changes to the system every game. While some are more dominant than others, the games still change enough for, at least me, to find them interesting.

Finding Emo:
You say FF games are average and then say you'd rather play KH? That game was awful, and the fact that it's FF mixed with Disney, well, it's just plan old blasphemy. I have an intense dislike for KH.
And their feet are too big, what's that about?

Digs:
Hey, hey, hey. The action rpg is a genre with a fine tradition, and I'll not be having truck with any bashing of one of the finest.

I'd like to contribute that after character creation, Morrowind ceases to be a game.
