mAlice aforeThought:
i was in a bit ov an old-school jazz/swing mood this weekend, so...

Glenn Miller : a String ov Pearls
= pure awesome.  there's not much else i can say about it.  if you don't undertsand the sheer awesomeness ov glenn miller, you probably never will.

Miles Davis
some random compilation without a title, and with very little informtaion.  it annoys me the way this tends to be done with jazz, swing, and other similar musicians.  but it's mostly songs i didn't already have, and it was cheap.

Miles Davis : Birds ov Paradise
basickally the same situation as the above.  good stuff.

IHeartShinyObjects:
cindi lauper-  shes so unusual
yes i heart cindi too :)
and lynard skynard because i wwanted a copy of freebird.

the odd duck goes quack...

BlueCoatKarma:
Gonna go get Ted Leo and the Pharmacists' "Tyranny of Distance" soon.

pip_helix: Mirah is the AWESOME!

To everyone: check out these bands. K-records has a bunch of great artists. An unfathomably large number of them; Mirah is just the beginning.

Hoborg:
I finally bought the new arcade fire album (funeral). It is pretty good but overrated in my opinion. I guess it would be hard not to be though with the rediculous amount of hype around it. So I am kind of dissapointed it is not a juggernaut of awesomeness.

Maybe I just don't like music anymore. I haven't been able to fall in love with any of the albums I've bought in a long time.

fleetingBassist:
Robbers On High Street - Tree City
Dogs Die In Hot Cars - Please Describe Yourself

i've also been on a vinyl kick and just picked up:
M83 - Dead Cities, Red Seas, Lost Ghosts
Arcade Fire - Funeral
Air - Moon Safari
The Shins - Oh! Inverted World
