Man. I was just thinking back to this thread as I was watching some Bauhaus videos on youtube. And I cannot remember this staple goth basic being mentioned.

Hello, Peter Murphy?

He's not the most "good looking" person ever, and he hasn't made the perfect hairstyle/facial hair choices over the years, but shit- he certainly has his own sort of sex appeal.

I watched The Hunger JUST because of Peter Murphy's scene in the first four minutes or so. And I watch those first four minutes over. and over. and over again.

Back in August of '03, I went to see Anthrax in Pittsburgh... because they are a band whose shows I simply try not to miss.? Opening for them was a band I had never heard of, Lacuna Coil.? At the time, I was at the tail end of a dismally failing four-year relationship, and by the end of the night, I found myself posing for a picture with Cristina Scabbia under my arm and smiling.? I know she's married, and was then, and that it was a total fanboy moment... but my Id was very satisfied at that moment.

Also referring to others who have been mentioned here, I believe Tori Amos is one of the few musicians who can make me melt as much with her voice and music as she does with her looks.? Just listen to "Your Cloud" or "Gold Dust" from her Scarlet's Walk album and tell me you do not swoon.

Another musician I don't think I saw mentioned here is Anneke van Giersbergen of The Gathering.? Watching her perform on their recent live DVD is almost hypnotizing.? I don't think her "looks" are amazing, per se, but rather her overall everything.? And that voice, my goodness, it's honey poured over satin.

I'm somewhat ashamed this topic is my first real post, but umm... I just woke up from a nap! How am I not supposed to be thinking about women?? (Disclaimer for my girlfriend, because she will see this eventually, I just know it: you're hot too, monkey.)

Heh, Varg is a bit of a dick.
He made mistakes in his past which I can easily put asside, but his idealogy now is pretty bullshit and is unacceptable.
He's a smart guy though, I can't help but fall for him.
