Yeah,I can see that. Some people want to be able to hear over their own tinnitus when they are 40 or 50.

I wear earplugs most times I go to shows, and I don't go nearly as often as a musician does. By the time I'm old, they will almost certainly have a way to replace damaged hair cells in the ear, but that would probably be A) expensive, and B) invasive. I don't like the sound idea of someone cutting open my ear.
