Just went and saw Les Georges Leningrad last night in Iowa city. Was a good time, though the several mismatched local openers seemed to go on forever except for the first band who called audience members up to sing as their singer was sick. LGL weren't as over the top as some reports alluded to but they were still quite weird and quite fun. A lot of their songs just turned into insane dance outs with quite a bit of moshing going on. The band were a lot less 'rock' live. Good time. Probably gonna go to Xiu Xiu at the end of the month.

On Friday night was Straylight Run and The Spill Canvas. The Spill Canvas stole the show by miles.

i am truly in love with richard reed parry, the way he shaked those tambourines...makes me go weak at the knees...*sigh*
and and oh and they played my heart is an apple!!!!!! oh god it was fantastic, i almost cried, gah
