The Last Show You Saw

mister evil breakfast:
I saw REM in Sydney and Melbourne, and it was fucking brilliant.  Anyone who says/thinks that they're not as good as they were 10 years ago needs a good kick in the crotch and a ticket to their next gig.

And Bright Eyes were (don't hit me) bloody good as supports as well actually...

a pack of wolves:
I saw The Plot To Blow Up The Eiffel Tower/Manacle/Seven Arrows In Your Bastard Heart last night. Seven Arrows were good, very enjoyable hardcore with quality vocals. Manacle were very impressive, noisy, angular, highly political with a good tune behind it all and they were getting really into it, the singer ending up curled up on the floor as he unleashed some harsh screams. Just my cup of tea. TPTBUTET were alright, not as good as I thought they'd be since I like the Dissertation Honey album. The saxphone didn't sound very good live. And it all ended up with them getting into a fight with my mate after he chucked some water over their singer because of something he said, which is a bit rubbish.

Inlander:
I've just come back from seeing Darren Hanlon, supported by Jens Lekman.  I am a big fuzzy warm ball of indie-pop happiness.

StrikeThePostman:

--- Quote from: EhSteve ---I saw The Shins in Asheville on Saturday.  It rocked my ass off!

I mean, honestly, I don't think I've been rocked that hard in so long, I had a rock-gasm from all that sexy sexiness.
--- End quote ---

Great description.  :)

But you liked the Brunettes?  I didn't think they were anything special, but maybe that's just because their microphones were turned up WAY too loud and my section of the audience was sitting in fetal position with their fingers stuck in their ears.

fin:
