Inlander:
I lost any vestigial respect I had for R.A.T.M. when they allowed one of their songs to appear on the soundtrack to the "Godzilla" remake - a pointless waste of millions of dollars that could have been better spent, if ever there was one.  Pretty much the definition of selling out your principles right there.

est:
i saw that as irony at it's best, actually.  have you heard the song?  if i recall, it's pretty much about big American movies being propaganda.

Inlander:
Got to confess, I tried to erase all memories of that movie and everything to do with it as best I could.  But Rage Against the Machine with irony?  That demands to be seen (or heard) to be believed.

You have to wonder about that. Chris Cornell doesn't seem to have the ability to write something that isn't non-sensical, so would we even have known it was a political song if he had?

I don't think it would have mattered. Chris and the Rage boys just aren't good fit.

Brodo Baggins:
Audioslave rock but i havent heard any of there new stuff i just have the album with cochise on it.
