Check out Darwinia. Old school gamers will see references to a lot of the classics in this game. Obvious tributes to: TRON, Space Invaders, Syndicate Wars, Day of the Triffid, Stargates, and Cannon Fodder.

It is wicked cool. Download the demo, then buy the game.

Faust:
I played that a couple weeks ago, I found it interesting but sometimes a bit confusing. Its fun none the less.
