muffy:
Hehe...mine are gonna be pretty bad...
2/3 - Joy Division (a fairly good start, may explain why I became so insufferably miserably in later years though)
9 - Guns 'n' Roses (big sisters are great for getting you onto music)
10 - Take That (they were great)
11 - PJ and Duncan - (they weren't so great, but anyway)
12 - The Spice Girls (What?!)
13 - Garbage (Shirley Manson was my first girl crush)
14 - Mansun (This is probably why I had few friends at school, if you define yourself by your music tastes, it's generally good to pick a decent band)
15 - (Still Mansun) and Manic Street Preachers
16/17 - King Adora (They were boys who wore make up and had punchy tunes...and were...'friendly' towards their fans, it was hard to be hormonal and not love them)
19 - present day -Bright Eyes.
Jeeeeeez....my opinion in music's never gonna be respected now...
...not that it ever was, but seriously. That's a pretty shameful list...

Obviously, I'm not one to redefine my favorites unless something major happens.
*notes
Age 11: Received my first cassette, "Weird Al" Yankovics's Dare to Be Stupid, as a birthday present.
Age 13: A friend gives me a dubbed cassette of Metallica's ...and Justice for All. I'm blown away.
Age 14: I see the videos for NIN's "Head Like a Hole" and "Wish" on MTV, and get hooked on industrial music. Later that year, I get Foetus' Gash album.
Age 20: NIN releases The Fragile. It does nothing for me. NIN's reputation tarnished, I quickly realize that Thirlwell's discography has no such disappointments. And it's more musically impressive to boot.
amok:
0.1-13: The Doors / Dire Straits (My dad's fault, this. I was brought up on a diet of classic rawk. :D)
14: Manic Street Preachers
15: Iron Maiden / Metallica
16-present day: Anathema / Opeth
