Everyone likes Buckley's "Hallelujah." I prefer Leonard Cohen's original to Buckley's, but kd lang has a cover of it on her new album that's fucking splendid.

Not technically a cover since it's the same band with a different singer, but:
Elton John + Queen - The Show Must Go On >> Queen - The Show Must Go On
A proper cover would be Muse - Feeling Good > Nina Simone - Feeling Good, as would Reel Big Fish - Take On Me > Aha - Take On Me.
