--- Quote from: Spencer ---I hate Glenn Danzig with a fiery passion.

There are two artists/bands that I take personal affront to when they are spoken ill of, and they are the Misfits and Johnny Cash.  You'd understand if you saw my giant Misfits tattoo.  I'm curious as to why there's all the Danzig hatin'.

Druid:
Hum doing Invisible Sun is better the the Sting version. It's an obscure mp3, but it's out there.

Evergreen Terrace covering U2's Sunday Bloody Sunday is very good. It's not that's it's better, it's just different in a good way.

the Foo Fighters covering Gary Numan's Down in the Park.

the Smahing Pumpkins - Clones, You're All I've got Tonight

The Kickin' Wookies (a local band) covering the Cure's Boys Don't Cry.

I agree that Xiu Xiu's version of Fast Cars is insanely superior to the original.

The Pixies - In Heaven (The Lady in the Radiator Song), Head On, Wild Honey Pie.

dave86:
Ben Folds' cover of In Between Days is pretty damn great, though the original still fairly rocks.

Incidentally, on the subject of horrible covers, Madonna's American Pie is my favourite. Missed the point like it wasn't there.

AndSheeWas:
Only cover I like much more than the original: Oingo Boingo--Don't Fear The Reaper
