How on earth can no-one have mentioned John Carpenter yet? Assault on Precinct 13, Escape From New York... time was he couldn't put a foot wrong. The score to Dead Man is pretty excellent too, I think someone told me that was Neil Young?

Team America! Holy craps how has this not come up yet? It's one thing to be funny, but to be funny AND write a catchy song is quite the achievement.

...my friend just reminded me that the American Psycho soundtrack is all my favorite cheesy 80s music. :)
