What I like about this fan-art is that it catches an important aspect of Claire - She isn't necessarily classically beautiful in any way. She can be awkward and bashful. Nonetheless there is a genuine niceness that just shines out of her.

Agree with you on the fanart. Meh to "classical standards of beauty." That's just "accepting someone else's definition of beauty" with the modification that "someone else" either has a bunch of degrees or has been dead awhile.
