"Was it more than words/And do they still apply?"
a pack of wolves:
It's not possible for there to be too many songs about the awesomeness of hardcore.
La Creme:
Yes yes, I should have included SC3 as well as Fantomas. But lo, nobody's perfect.
KharBevNor:
I'm really not a big fan of pretty much any of Pattons work. Mr. Bungle, Tomahawk and some Fantomas were ok, but Faith No More and his work with DEP totally sucked. and his new hip-hop project is shite too.
Yeah, you all know who I think everyone should hear more of. But currently I mostly want everyone to like Dan Swano
For most people here, I recommend Nightingale. Awesome goth-tinged prog rock project he has with his brother and a few other guys. If you like metal, or can at least tolerate RAWR, then Edge of Sanity are still the greatest MDM band ever, if they even deserve to be pegged down to that. Bloodbath and Ribspreader are utterly old-school death metal that will tear you a new arsehole, then kick it. Pan.Thy.Monium is crazy, and Steel is pure balls to the walls heavy metal. Route 9 are some decent prog, and Godsend are some groovy doom, and his solo album 'Moontower' shows Dark Tranquillity how they SHOULD be using keyboard.
Seriously, Swano is so good that the metal archives allows 'The ONLY Dan Swäno solo album. Recommended for first timers with the Übermensch.' as the description for Moontower.

--- Quote from: marc_penny88 ---i wish more ppl knew about big country, tis my mates dads band that had a number of albums out in the 80s, they are local so u wud expect everyone around here to know about them, but noone does

I love Big Country, saw them 3 times in Edinburgh in the 80's, what are they doing now, didn't one of them die?
I wish more people had heard of Stephen Fretwell (curently touring with KT Tunstall) seen him twice, he's Fooking ace, accoustic or with his full band.
Mike Baillie a local lad from Edinburgh is also pretty good, cant find any info on the net about him though. Bought his Album in Feb when he was supporting Stephen and its really good.
