Hideous. You know how fast parts of that song are song? Miss Lavigne butchers them like a pro. It's live, admittedly, and at least she has the good grace to collapse into laughter and say "I am so fucking sorry" at the end. It still stands as definitely the worst cover version in the universe, as, unlike William Shatners version of Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, it is neither funny nor a cult classic.

That song is just a great song. Although, I gotta say my favourite version is probably the cover by the Jeff Healey Band. Is that heresy? Probably.

It's not like Ringo was a good drummer to begin with. I've heard stories of the band substituting drummers for most performances/recordings (I can't remember which one, but I'm betting on recordings).

what a sleazy-sounding song, mind you I quite like it, but just take the chorus: "Candy says she made arrangements for me in the sand/Candy says she wants me with her down in Candyland"
but okay then there is also: "Candy asked me if she died/If I could go on
/Of course I said I couldn't/And of course we know that's wrong"
I have a major crush with Morphine at the moment by the way :)
