My favourite remotely ska song is 'Ska Sucks' by Propaghandi. That said, 'I Fell Asleep on my Arm' is a goddamn awesome song.

Less Than Jake and The Aquabats are 2 totally different brands of ska: sucking and non-sucking, respectively.
I just plain don't like Less Than Jake. Never have.

My favourite Less Than Jake record is Borders and Boundaries, where they basically don't play any ska. But their earlier records do have some good songs, I think Losing Streak is probably better than Hello Rockview. But yes, a lot of their songs just aren't really that good.

And, I even have to see them this summer as much as I dislike them. (playing w/ The Epoxies). maybe a live show will change my mind..

You're not the only one that hates them for sure. My friend was pretty into ska and he really hated The Aquabats. But also, I don't think I've EVER seen Catch 22 and Aquabats compared in just about any sense. Catch 22 is much harder core that Aquabats, who are much more poppy/bubblegum happy stuff....
Meanwhile I like both bands a LOT

No, no, no. See I LOVE ska. Hell, my first professional tattoo was of walt (the 2tone guy) and margaret on my ankle. And I still hate them. >_<
