Is Klezmer-Metal Fusion Possible? Only YOU Can Say...

--- Quote from: KharBevNor ---Of course this can be done. Salem released Kaddish, what, eleven years ago now? Damn decent record, I'd imagine what you're thinking of would sound something like their cover of HaŽayara BoŽeret.

My only problem with Salem is that they've been singing about essentially one theme: That is, the suffering of the Jews, for about 20 years now.
--- End quote ---

The suffering of the Jews is an eternal theme.

muffy:
This is slightly unrelated, but Franz Ferdinand had a song which was basically ripped off a Jewish hymn of some sort. I think it was Matinee?

sp2:
Possible.  I dunno, I make it a point to avoid listening to Franz Ferdinand, for the obvious reasons.

muffy:
I can't really blame you.

On topic though, I'm all for hybrids of music, so long as it doesn't turn out rubbish.

rynne:
Hasn't John Zorn been releasing klezmer metal for years, too?
