Well, now that I've trashed Epitaph, I think I'll go to work on The New Dead Kennedys. Yes, with that guy who "replaced," e.g. buttraped Jello's place.
Fuck The New Dead Kennedys. Why don't they understand that they've had their time, and now they're just a cliché, and most of their real fans are alternately laughing at them and cursing at them. Fuck East Bay Ray. He tried to sell Holiday in Cambodia to Gap. Fuck Klaus Flouride. He didn't kick Ray so hard in the nutsack that he vomited them up. Fuck D.H. Peligro. He's too cool for the New Dead Kennedys, but he doesn't get it. Fuck Jeff Penalty. No one can replace Jello.

Jello is just as at fault as the new DKs. Whether you like it or not he did withhold royalties. The band (or at least Klaus) acknowledge that he didn't do it on purpose but he did attempt to cover it up instead of owning up. Yes they did attempt to sell Holiday in Cambodia to Levis and they were wrong to do so.
They're both equally at fault.
As for the new DK, I agree that no-one can replace Jello but DK wasn't just Jello. What made DK so amazing was the combination of Jello's lyrics and vocals and the musicianship of the other three. I know Jello doesn't want to live off nostalgia and maybe sees going back to DK stuff as admitting failure to improve upon it but in my opinion, no-one's going to make a better punk album than DK did with FFFRV or PSD. Many DK songs are still just as relevant today as they were when they were first performed and there's a large audience who never got to see them first time around.
The stupid feud that continues between Jello and the band annoys me intensely as do morons like you who blindly take sides.
