Milkman Dan is the biggest Ryhmesayers Whore i've ever met, in person or on the inner nets. I totally covet his collection and wish he would upload some more of his shit to my server, but he is a crochity old man and will not.
Also, I saw Beans the other night when Prefuse 73 came to town. He was awesome.

The fact that RJD2 stands for Ronnie James Dio the second makes me overflow with glee.
In addition:
Non-Phixion (download "The CIA is Trying to Kill Me", "I Shot Reagan", or "Black Helicopters" and tell me that they don't eat your face. How can you not love a group with the lyric, "I reign in blood, just like Slayer did in '86"?)
I can't believe no one mentioned Knowledge Reigns Supreme Over Nearly Everyone. You should be fucking ashamed.
Another note about Non-Phixion. In their song "The CIA is Still Trying to Kill Me", which is a metal remix of the previously mentioned song (complete with Dino from Fear Factory on guitar), there are references to Slayer, Megadeth, Black Sabbath, Metallica, and I seem to remember an Anthrax reference but I may be wrong. Also, their logo is modeled after the Voivod logo. Bottom line: Non-Phixion is really, really awesome, and they're metalheads, which makes them orgasmic.

--- Quote from: Praeserpium Machinarum ---I like hip hop(Streets, Roots and a couple of others) but I can't stand the braggadocio, that some hip hop acts use way too much time on . Basically I want more than shout-outs, how cool I am, PARTY and how my homies are all dying. Good original lyrics is all I ask. I am considering getting Sage Francis - A Healthy Distrust, Themselves - The No Music and cLOUDDEAD - Ten, anyone have them and are they good?
--- End quote ---
I have Ten by clouddead and it's slightly above average. Doseone's nasally vocal style can be a bit grating after a few tracks. They're sort of like the "They Might Be Giants" of hip-hop.
New Roots Manuva is quite good...you might be interested in that.
Is it just the lyrical content you're looking for or are you into abstract beats as well?
Praeserpium Machinarum:
both, I once heard someone say that a song should be 50/50 as to the importance of the music and lyrics, and I agree, so...
I think I remember something about Roots Manuva being a bit too introvert, in that he could rhyme about thinking that he thought about thinking yesterday, though that might be wrong...
